Vols Locked into Head to Head Battle for Harrell

Keymiya Harrell, who goes by “Key”, is likely to end up in the SEC. Whether that’s the SEC West or SEC East remains to be seen. “Really right now I’m looking the hardest at Auburn and Tennessee. Those are my top two, and their neck and neck right now. I got an offer from Louisville recently, and I’m looking at Mississippi State too,” said Harrell.Harrell is being recruited to Auburn by Coach Jay Boulware.

Harrell may be what you call “lightly recruited,” but when SEC schools come calling, recruiting rankings go right out the window. Playing at Dallas County High in the small town of Planterville, Ala., Harrell doesn’t have the opportunity to be seen as much as others playing 6a ball. Harrell mixes a great combination of 6-foot-5, 230-pound size with 4.6 second speed.

As far as Auburn and Tennessee battling out, he likes both schools. “Both places are great. Both football programs are great,” Harrell said. He continued, “Auburn has that awesome atmosphere, and the players are cool, I got to hang out with a lot of them. It’s one big family, and the coaches are family, too. I really like them and how their straight forward.”

The Plantersville native plans to make his decision in August. “I just wanna go somewhere I can get my degree, and school that I can see myself at, and a place that I can play.”
